Parted Soul

He would turn One today.. perhaps, keeping us on our toes, making us be at his service all the time, his very presence, his smile, his warmth, his love bringing us constant joy whilst draining energy out of our systems....miss our baby. Loss of a child will remain in the minds of the parents throughout their lives. But, we learn to overcome, we get stronger, we move on... as this is how beautifully the same minds are structured. My heart goes out to all those who have lost their precious children - either at birth or later.

The Shammi Magic

It is amazing to witness how some people create magic in the field of entertainment and remain in millions of hearts – both old and young! Very strangely, after learning about Shammi Kapoor's demise, I spent hours watching his video clippings, songs, recorded interviews etc. And truly, unlike many other legends, this man went on to inspire generations. His lack of inhibition allowing him to do the silliest thing on screen created magic. It is remarkable how he simply let his body play to the tunes in all song sequences and yet appeared to be in control and content with his style.

He gave the audience a chance to eventually discover different facets to his personality - A man full of life, The Romantic, The Joker, The Style Icon, The Dude etc. We love this Junglee who rolled in the snow and blasted heartfelt 'Yaaaahooos' out of his system!

Irony of Life...

19 – The date I liked so much. For no particular reason, just thought there was a strong positive vibe about the number in the calendar, really. When the ‘Expected Due Date’ of my baby calculated by my doctors was 10th December 2010, I secretly hoped that it should somehow extend up until the 19th – just so that my baby could be born on the date I loved and held quite close to heart. But, life isn’t quite such, as it was on 19th November 2010 I learnt that my baby was dead. Now, to me, this is like any other calendar date and I hold no special reservations to it anymore. Well, here we go, this is the 'Irony' and such is life!
