The Aam Aadmi Party... to Uplift Downtrodden and Deprived People/Principles

A slight diversion to my usual blog posts about the little one…. This one is about Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) success, its possible leadership…my views… my expression

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has risen overnight, we all know, and quite gracefully with its stunning show that is felt across the country. It’s phenomenal to witness how the party has touched the latent chord creating new imagination and hope in national politics. It’s like a sudden positive uplift that seems as if people were waiting for something like this to happen. Many enthusiasts are eager to support the fledging and flaring Delhi-based party for its principles and core agenda – to sweep/root out corruption, whilst other parties are merely engaged in corruption allegations. To many of us it has evoked a sense of personal positive feeling towards the party. By ‘personal positive feeling’ I meant how the party has managed to approach people with its simple principles and goals. In AAP’s success many have found something personal to rejoice over, perhaps, we wouldn’t just vote for them, we wish to become one of them….probable candidates. And why not, it’s simple-yet-genuine way to approach people for votes, it’s core agenda to root out corruption and most importantly, it is a party of youngsters for they do assure good governance.

Well, although the result achieved by AAP is certainly a positive change, very inspiring, good for democracy and so forth, it does face spats from many apart from its opposition and foes, understandable. I’m not talking about people in other parts of the country here for obvious reasons, but, pointing out to those who aren’t very sure of extending their support as they would want to wait and watch, probably give a couple of years before choosing the party. Some wouldn’t choose at all for this party wouldn’t distribute money and gifts like other main parties do. Well, an indication of the intense feeling that AAP has evoked is evident and the Delhi results show the possibility of a genuine Third Front. Let’s hope!

AAP you are certainly not a traditional political party and there is no reason why you can’t do well if you stick to your cause. You have my vote for you seem to be a party of principles wanting to really help people! Way to go…and keep it up.

It's a good debut by AAP but need to understand how their promises can be a reality as that depends on multiple factors and economic considerations. What AAP has showed a transparent model of contesting elections which the credit shoud go to them but how the promises be realistic is a wait and watch.....

Abhi - Well, yes of course with other multiple factors and constraints its going to be challenging for them and any debutant needs to prove. But we need to give them a chance. Its different that they are adament on sitting in the opposition, but unless they are given all the support they need and that they stick to their promises/principles, they will not be able to run the country in a decent way. Certainly, this new party is not ordinary for it isnt a cake walk to win the number of seats it has at the very first shot...and it is all because of its lucid, transperent and genuine principles. Not just a good model of contesting in the elections, but, it definitely has the potential to target right problems and address them, resolve them and govern/lead the country in a better way.

Arti - AAP refreshes us and has been lingering in the minds of most of the people and for me, I cant get over it from my system yet.
